ThePhilipsAirfryer is a brilliant countertop appliance that uses rapid air technology to drastically reduce the amount of fat or oil used by approximately 80% when making meals. I have been using it all the time and I love it!

Kale is known forbeing an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin C, vitamin A, manganese, and copper; a very good source of vitamin B6, fiber, calcium, potassium, vitamin E, and vitamin B2; and a good source of iron, magnesium, vitamin B1, omega-3 fats, phosphorus, protein, folate, and vitamin B3. Kale chips are a great alternative to regular chips when you get cravings for something crunchy!

Here’s the easy Crispy Kale Chips Recipe:

Did you use an Airfryer Lynda or did you bake them?

      • Crispy Kale Chips Recipe - OneSmileyMonkey.com (18)

I baked them and I followed the recipe I had but it seemed like they were in the oven forever and when I took them out they still didn’t crisp, I don’t understand because everyone else seems to have no problems, I have an Actifry but I don’t think they would work in that either, I really need to save up my money because I would love to get that Phillips Airfryer

Wow, I’ve never heard of any air fryer before. Usually I bake my kale chips, but they often cook unevenly. I guess this works similarly to my air-popper (which is really the ONLY way to make popcorn, it’s the best!).

With this new diet I am on for food sensitivities, I have a limited list of items I can eat. Kale is one of the few things and I am a muncher or grazer. I will try this and see how it turns out. Thanks.

Thank you for the recipe. I made them, but they flew around in the air fryer, and got stuck to the heating element! I have the large, Avance air fryer. How did you keep the kale chips from flying around while cooking?

    • Crispy Kale Chips Recipe - OneSmileyMonkey.com (45)

      Angela V Reply

Hi Ellen, that is very odd. I’ve never experience that before. Try tearing the kale up in larger pieces next time? Hope that helps!

I was wondering the same thing and googled “air fryer fan sucking up kale chips” to see if anyone else had the same issue! I could hear the kale chips flying around the air fryer and when I checked on them halfway through a few kale pieces literally flew out of the oven at me.

Melisa Iam no expert but I think if you use frozen you would have to defrost and pat dry very good before you put in air fryer.

Do you think an air fryer would work to fry fresh spinach? I had some at a local restaurant and it was great. I tried to deep fry at home and it was way too greasy. If yes, would you do it the same way/time as kale?
